Lucasfilm really needs to hire Joel McNeely again on some future project:

Double agreed! There was a thread somewhere, saying who should be tapped for these "one off" star wars films (Rogue one, etc). The first person that came to my mind was Joel McNeely. Especially since he's already in with Disney (he scores all the Tinkerbell films). A gifted and thoughtful composer, to be sure!

Triple indeed! Joel McNeely's Shadows of the Empire score was the first soundtrack I ever bought. I remembered playing the game growing up and even tho it was fun at the time, it was music that left the biggest impression on me as it had such an intense and immersive quality to it. I also love Joel's work on the show The Orville, as well as a lot of the Young Indiana Jones Chronicles. He also produces and arranges Seth McFarlane's solo albums (orchestral/big band swing). He's really a swiss army knife of a composer/orchestrator.

Good news for fans of Joel McNeely: this company who released James Horner's Aliens in full score is also working on publishing Joel's Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire score, which would be great to see. I don't think it's 100% confirmed but I really hope they succeed and wish them luck.

No problem! I'll post it in the James Horner thread too so more people see it.
