It's less painful (you've removed some high frequencies).

Unfortunately, no audio process will ever make this orchestra sound like the LSO :

Goodness... what an orchestra is that? haha. Shocking

This would be tedious but I’m wondering if the timbre could be improved by extracting the source samples, linear-phase EQ-matching them against better sounding libraries, then swapping the processed versions back into the patch. Is anyone going to try this?

I don't know but when I suggested Sample Modeling to record another horn / trumpet, because I thought it would be easy to just replace the existing ones, they told me that it was not that simple.

I still don’t own this library but a new trumpet is coming in the next update with a much better tone:

I'll probably pick this up during the upcoming sale.

I haven't used The Trumpet recently but I think it's very close and even better because of the short notes (better attack).

Sounds pretty agile compared to what I own. I’ve yet to jump on the sample modeling train (I heard it works best with a breath controller, correct me if I’m wrong - I don’t own one and never played a wind instrument, but maybe that’s not a prerequisite). I’m not sure about the tone, lower notes sound a bit like a kazoo to me but decent up high. But then again, I’m 15 bourbon shots into my second batch of 15 bourbon shots this morning.
