Ghost of a Tale

Post by Strickland » Sat 19 Jan 2019 14:05

Hello fellowship of the vintage music,

here's a theme I've composed for the video game "Ghost of a Tale". Performed by the LSO, recorded at Angel Studios by Jake Jackson, programmed and mixed by Samy.

that part at 1:07 is soooo clean

and it sounds like it could translate to woodwinds so damn well.

There is a lot I like in it: the idiomatic ostinato, the oboes and trumpets blends, the modulation introducing the last third of the piece...

I'm still looking for something I dislike. I'll be back soon.

Thanks Raphael, although there's no oboe in it, only flutes and clarinets ;-)

that's what you think

samy recorded an oboe part then doubled it and phase switched it.

so there's a hidden oboe that only a computer could recognize lol

I thought it would be more complex :-) Are the flutes unison or 8va? Sounds unison to me.

The LSO? Never heard of ‘em....

(I joke, I joke).

Hearing such a wonderful ensemble breathe life into your work has to be an amazing experience!
